Manipulative / Manual / McKenzie Therapy

What is Manipulative Physiotherapy?

A branch of physiotherapy specialising in the treatment of musculoskeletal problems that involve structures such as the nerves, muscles and joints.

Qualified manipulative physiotherapists are registered physiotherapists who have undergone post graduate
training to attain a specialised qualification.

Manipulative physiotherapists use a combination of specific manual procedures, together with general
physiotherapy using techniques, equipment, exercises, advice and return to work conditioning.

Common conditions treated by Manipulative Physiotherapists

PhysioHEADACHES

Although there are several sources of headache, one of the most common is the joints of the upper part of the neck. When irritated or damaged these may cause pain to the head. Relief may be obtained by mobilising or manipulating the small joints.
